In the lover’s ear alone

Carry me in your lips just like your favorite song
Everytime you are tired or you are feeling torn
'Cause your smile torments like some spell unnkown
Walk me like the streets you walk whenever you're alone
And never let me go

Strange fits of passion have I known
Strange fits of madness and of love
Strange fits of passion have I known
That you were dead, that I can't wait
That I would love you just the same

I'll tell you all those things I thought
I would never share
I'll tell you all those things I thought
I'd have to forget
I'll tell you all those things I thought
Would inflict me pain
And I guess then you'd share the same

(Working at the moment in this song))

Mañana es el día…

No mentiré.

Mi primera opción era "quemar todos mis puentes" pero después me dije "I don't wanna make a fool out of myself", y empecé a pensar en la otra opción...

This story has not end yet... And I like this "open end" better than the other possible scenarios... ;-)

ah, music, always there when i need you ;-)

I simply get fascinated by old dances (this one being not so old though) they are so energetic and lively, and at the same time like kinda sorrowful or something... Just finished watching the first part of the 2007 tv series "War and Peace" (read the novel some years ago and I didn't remember half much :-P, promise I re-read it once I finish the three books i've on hold) and there it comes a waltz which got my hopes and my mood up ;-) this one is by Khachaturyan, an Armenian composer who was born in Georgia back in the time when Russia was a great empire, so it has its epic influences :-) great great loved it

Dead Letters (II)

My best with the lyrics: :D

tu m'as dit tout bas "on t'attend déjà

tu m'as dit tout bas "on t'attend déjà

Dead Letters (I)

I wish that I could prove what I feel for you, something that you can't deny, anything you can rely upon each time you're in the mood for any doubts. But there's no evidence for what I hold inside my heart.

You need to understand this. No matter what it takes.

Nothing suddenly appears, neither love, nor your fears; you grow them inside you: something for idle hands to do. And you want to be sure before you can admit. But I never make a promise that I cannot keep.

I won't be afraid. I'll stand with you and I will understand you.
I'll bend but won't break, there'll be no fear and I will understand you.
No matter what it takes, no matter what you say, and even if it breaks my heart, my heart.

You need to understand this. No matter what it takes.

And I will understand you.
I'll bend but won't break, there'll be no fear and I will understand you.
I won't be afraid. I'll stand with you and I will understand you.
I'll bend but won't break, there'll be no fear and I will understand you.
No matter what it takes.

Anger and Truth (And some tears in my eyes)

{Spiritual shock}

{"Isolation is like serving time except in this case I've done no crime" -A song by Die Krupps}
Seguro, I'm used to it, pero en algunos momentos olvido la costumbre. I'm resentful and insecure and others just have to deal with it in the same exact way I have to deal with it myself... sad, I have less prerogatives than others: I can't walk away from myself! or could I?

{Looking forward to the future}
I had so great potential, but I'll end up unhappy, that is so easy and so common that is not a tragedy. Making mistakes is no crime but you have to serve your time when you choose without good guide...

Why to try again, just to possibly fail??? Pessimism is all I see…

This is for myself, no matter what, no matter if nothing is real or if I can’t be the person I want to be,  I’m never alone, I have never been and I never will. I just need myself, what else could I need to live as long as I keep breathing???

Here ‘s a song about which I have something to say:  Everytime I listen to it my thoughts immediately fly  to that pair of smiling eyes… (and I remember more than a year ago I quoted some lines from this very same song)… Wow, I bet being lovestruck while wandering in London has to be one of the greatest things to do on this earth…

{Come on life, you have to give me a break, for once in my life bring my love to my side… I swear I’ll behave accordingly… hahaha}

[Lyrics:]

Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
And they are young and alive
Driving in your car
I never never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one anymore

Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people
And I want to see life
Driving in your car
Oh please don't drop me home
Because it's not my home, it's their home
And I'm welcome no more

And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well the pleasure, the privilege is mine

Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
And in the darkened underpass
I thought Oh God, my chance has come at last
But then a strange fear gripped me
And I just couldn't ask

Take me out tonight
Oh take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one
No, I haven't got one

And if a double-decker bus
Crashes in to us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well the pleasure, the privilege is mine

There is a light that never goes out

Catching a break

Delightful romantic (I guess) music by César Franck. This piece always cheers me up, (and I really mean, always, all the time, even today that I’m in physical pain and also in some kind of despair…) in fact the whole sonata does, but specially this ending, it is at the same time happy and warm and also a little too intense, like suggesting something else, not sure what...

{Well, this recording is by Repin again, what can I say? I just admire this violinist so much, haha. I have seen a recording by Menuhin which is breath-taking of course, but I like this one better because it seems a lot more passionate... and also the energy is so well balanced that every part is clearly differentiated and has its special vibe… If that is real or not I don't know, that's just the way I feel. Yet I gotta say that I enjoy Menuhin’s performance  because I'm amazed at his flawless (and almost unattainable)  bow-technique.. :D Also, I run into an argentinian violinist’s perfomance, which though in a different style is definitely worth seeing.}

A song for my beloved…

Nah, actually, for anyone who wants to listen to amazing music :-D (in fact, probably “the beloved” I’m referring to wouldn’t give a damn…, his loss, he’s missing great lyrical power…)

Alex Reed from Thoushaltnot performing “The Projectionist”,

not your typical love song, amazing nonetheless…

[Lyrics:]

Sing me like a lullaby and read me like a book
You can steal me in an art fraud heist
Just slip me underneath your coat
And if you want to load me on the reel
And blare a blinding light through me
I'll be a silent film and you'll play the organ
To go with the pictures I show

But when can I feel myself again
As more than between blood and air?
I am what you tell me I am
And you make me an endless text
    And you are my projectionist

Give me like a wartime speech and fight me like a war
Invade me like the Middle East
Just bounce me off the satellites
This picture's out of focus now
The blackout's all over town
So make me now a candle bright
And push me through the power lines

But when can I feel myself again
As more than between blood and air?
I am what you tell me I am
And I am what you think of next
    And you are my projectionist

Shine a light through me so you can see
Sing me in a different key, well,
I'm your diary
Who's reading who now and who's in whose skin?
Turn on your TV, broadcast me
Everywhere I want to be
Lift up the rock and find me there

But when can I feel myself again
As more than between blood and air?
I am what you tell me I am
And you make me an endless text
    And you are my projectionist

In the burning theatre I am blessed
For you are my projectionist

Prelude to Hibernum

Valse Scherzo (V. Repin y N. Lugansky)

We all need to be loved. We all want to be loved and the world has no plan for creating our lovers.

(Sherwood Anderson. “Seeds”)

I’m out of my mind, I need to be loved.”

“If I had to sum up the 20th century, I would say that it raised the greatest hopes ever conceived by humanity, and destroyed all illusions and ideals"

Showing Some Wit

My love in her attire doth show her wit,
It doth so well become her;
For every season she hath dressings fit,
For winter, spring, and summer.
No beauty she doth miss
When all her robes are on;
But beauty’s self she is
When all her robes are gone.

troubadour

I like these phrases (Nothing more, nothing personal, just aesthetical appreciation...)

No queda ninguna duda

(There's no doubt about it / I would do all for just one kiss...// Everything is gone and we are left alone / Let me be a part of you / Let us die in our tears now)

Puntos Cardinales

La última línea "Where realities converge and for a moment where the same as always", me hace sentir un escalofrío terrible, pero dulce también...

(And if I had my way I'd make the clock rewind / I'd live again that moment though I know I'll never find / The future that I missed a parallel line / Where the world would be so bright that it could make us all go blind // And if I had my day there's so much I'd reclaim / The sanctity of motion the neverending rain / The cardinal directions all pointing to the past / Where realities converge and for a moment we're the same as always)

Girls and Boys

I came to remember this song thanks to Blaqk Audio's Cover. I think it's great in both versions, though the new one sounds a lot more american and modern, a little less Euro. Anyway, it does not take out its fresh almost disco sound. I was a little surprised that for BA's version there was not any change in the lyrics, specially for that part that goes "love in the 90's is paranoid", but again, what could be said instead of that? I guess it is left like a metaphor or something.

I have heard and read many interpretations of this song... Some people think it deals on sex freedom and/or bisexualism/homosexualism, etc... Others think the meaning of this song it's not sexual preference but empty sex... I guess this last one goes for that "love in the 90's is paranoid", as if no one thinks of love, but only of sex. It is also about party on the Mediterranean, which includes the last 2 interpretations. Also, it conveys a little critic about young people, like if saying that thinking of sex and do almost anybody (just because you 'love' someone, and doesn't matters his/her gender) gets their mind a little slow... Making everyone thinking in the same way, having no more than 5 thoughts in head.

This song was the second one I heard from Blur (the first one being "Song 2"), and I liked it pretty much, even if it's quite different from their 'brit' sound. The new version is also ok, since Havok's voice it's very similar to Damon's.

"GIRLS AND BOYS"(Blur)

Street's like a jungle
So call the police
Following the herd
Down to Greece
On holiday
Love in the 90's
Is paranoid
On sunny beaches
Take your chances
Looking for

Girls who are boys
Who like boys to be girls
Who do boys like they're girls
Who do girls like they're boys
Always should be someone you really love

Avoiding all work
'Cuz there's none available
Like battery thinkers
Count your thoughts
On one two three four
Five fingers
Nothing is wasted
Only reproduced
You get nasty blisters
"Du bist sehr schön"
But we haven't been introduced

Girls who are boys
Who like boys to be girls
Who do boys like they're girls
Who do girls like they're boys
Always should be someone you really love

Deep Red

"Deep Red"
(Apoptygma Berzerk)

Deep Red is blurring my eyes
I'll wait in the closet until tonight
I want you to explain your feelings for me
The blade on your skin is what matters to me
I will wait for you to scream and shout
But you open your mouth the blood runs out

The knife cuts through her skin
And your heart starts beating faster
You feel the pressure within
As you look into her eyes

First, it's pretty evident this song has to do something with Dario Argento's motion picture, or can it be just a coincidence they both share the title? It could be, of course, but it's not very likely. I guess this song has do with sex or with a murder. Or maybe with sex seeing as a way to inflict wounds. It's greatly poetic that first part of "deep red is blurring my eyes", as if saying that rage, passion, furor, etc., is taking over the narrator, dominating him, nourishing his hard feelings but also giving him patience until the right moment rises ("I'll wait in the closet until tonight"). Also, this guy (killer?) thinks that to produce fear on somebody, to take someone to her limits is an efficient way to communicate ("I want you to explain your feelings for me"). Maybe he just wants the thrill of hear her "scream and shout" and does not expect death, since that "but...you open your mouth, the blood runs out" bit. It's evident the narrator knew that if he wanted her to scream and shout she would have to open her mouth, but maybe he wanted to listen to her "eyes".
